The revival of America's most dysfunctional family

If you're a big fan of hysterical laugh, authentic jokes, and enjoy watching TV shows, then you must be familiar with Fox's narrated comedy 'Arrested Development' back in 2003. Centered at the Bluths, the show introduced the most dysfunctional, yet amusing family to the audience for the first time on small screen. Since its debut, the show has received widespread critical acclaims, including bunch of Emmies and a Golden Globe and also created a cult among the die-hard fans.

Despite all the acclaims this show has gotten, sadly enough, the rating was never that kind to the Bluth family. After only three seasons, Fox finally announced a heart-breaking news that the network will axed the show for good, amid the poor rating. Many devoted fans were really mad and disappointed by that call, ultimately because the show it self was really, i mean really funny and refreshing, probably the most hilarious comedy on TV at the time. Until now, i really can not get the idea why the rating was so low. Seriously, were the jokes too hard to understand or people simply didn't have any sense of humor back then?

Anyhow, the frustration that had been lingering on the fans for not having a proper closure, now completely gone, because the streaming website, Netflix has already committed to pick up and produce the show as its semi-original series. After 7 years waiting and hoping for the Bluths to come back, now the fans could celebrate that the fourth season officially will be available on Netflix on May 26th. Yes, it's only one day left before we get to see what's been happening to the Bluths since the show went off air.

Netflix has announced that the show will revive with 15 brand new episodes which will release all at once on the premiere date. It features pretty much of the entire 9 main casts, including Jason Bateman, Will Arnet, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, David Cross, Tony Hale, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter.

The creator of the show, Mitchell Hurwitz told NY Daily News that the format of the new season will be a little different than before. Each episode will follow a central story and focus on a single character, instead of the whole family together. Nonetheless, the viewers still could see the glimpse of other family members in one episode. Hurwitz also mentioned couple times to the press about the possibility of a movie after this season wrapped. Wow, this is absolutely beyond what we could hoping for :D

The resurrection of the Bluths, for me has so much meaning to the TV industry. Firstly, it proves a striking point that a qualified and smart show always has a place among the audience. Even 'tho the rating wasn't agree, the show as great as 'Arrested Development' will prove it self that it indeed has a loyal market to throw into. And it really gives a hope to many other good shows that kicked out by cables and networks based on a classic excuse that the viewers simply didn't dig their story. It gives hope for audience as well that they still can get a good storyline from TV shows, especially when lot of shows these days are boring, shallow and even not worth the times.

Secondly, Netflix' bravery to pick up a show that once canceled was another bold move from the website and could only raise its popularity among the series' fans. Personally, i think Netflix would gain more subscribers after the release of 'Arrested Development'. With their previous original series 'House of Cards' became such a big hit for the site, one could only imagine how bigger Netflix could become in the upcoming years with its innovation. Maybe it's time for the network and cable TV to be wary of Netflix' existence, since the site has introduced a brand new way to watch TV shows these days and having a very great result from it.

I really long that day where the cables and networks' executive suck their own dicks for cancel and close their door on a great show like 'Arrested Development' -- which i believe they would after the fourth season comes out and only Netflix would gain all the profit then rub it on their faces. For now, why don't we laugh our ass off on the official trailer of the newest season of the legendary Bluths it self. Get ready for the big day folks!
